This book has been bringing a smile to my face for twenty + years. Its great for kids, and I just purchased another copy to use as an introduction for my friend's children to passover.

This darling 37-page book offers even the smallest of children--babies and toddlers too--a funny Passover feast.The poem has barely more than 200 words, but hilariously recounts the arrival of guests--while counting their 19 noses, 38 thumbs, freckles and the hosts' insufficient chairs. It wanders through places they might find seats, including "in the attic,/ Or on bookshelves in pairs,"... "in the sink/ Soaking suds with the pans," camped out "in the carport" or in "empty trash cans."For the Kiddush (blessing the wine) the family will stand, so that's no problem, but the child narrator knows that sitting down for the meal will land "half on the floor." He thinks of stacking everyone in one chair, and reading "the Haggadah/ Sing songs filled with hope,/ With one book at the bottom/And a long periscope."I won't spoil any of the glorious special effects. Suffice it to say, readers will delight in the book's dipping of greens, funny hiding of matzah and hysterical asking of four questions. (Even Elijah brings a laugh.) This is the best preschool/young elementary school Passover book that I have read. Both the text and the pictures are wonderful! The book is presumably told from the view of a young child. The narrator lets everyone know that 19 guests are coming over for Seder but the host only has nine chairs. The narrator envisions putting everyone on one chair, having people share chairs, and the mess that will be created when everyone rinses the parsley. The story is told in rhyme and introduces the major Passover contents over the course of the story--Elijah, matzah, four questions, etc. I absolutely loved reading this book and the children that I read it too also loved it!

I was eager to read this as I heard of it from a tv Show. I am so happy to have found it translated in a language I can read and understand. I heard so much about "Khadijah" but after reading this book (which I just finished) I learned that the so much I thought I knew about her wasn't enough! I didn't know so much little details about her life, even my husband who knows more about Islam than I do was surprised to learn new thinks from me :) it is very details and breathtaking, thank you to the authors and the translator for taking us back in time of true faith! Can't wait to read "Aisha" now...

This is a great book on the biography of Khadija. It is not only a biography, but also a book that guides you to gaining inspiration from the first Muslim, wife of the Prophet Muhammad, and mother. The book itself came with some sticky stuff on the back, but it's all good. The contents were great.

One of the best cookbooks I have ever bought. The pictures and information are beautiful. The recipes are completely authentic with the flavors exactly how my mother would make recipes or even at restaurants in Thailand. I have made dozens of the dishes in here from the green curry to the fried and steamed fish. Awesome. I wish other books were this good. This is the third one I have bought since I have worn the first 2 down over the last 12 years. If you want very authentic Thai cuisine, this is the only book you need. It is quite thorough and covers all the regions of Thailand. If you don't cook, the book is still great just for the photos and the information about Thailand and its different regions.

I actually did not buy this particular copy for me, I have my own copy of the book, but I like it so much that I decided to give it to a friend as a gift for his birthday. Lots of great Thai recipes. My one recommendation, and has nothing to do with the book, it is my personal experience, don't try to cut corners by buying pastes (Red Curry is one), make them from scratch, get a grinder and not an electric one, one that where you add some of your muscle into it, Amazon has one that looks good, "Vremi Mortar and Pestle Set", I have had one for many years, and it is the best way to make your pastes. Great book, great pictures and it is all very well explained.

I purchased this book book back in the 90's and decided to give it another read in anticipation of an upcoming trip to Thailand. It quickly became evident that not only is this a comprehensive book in regards to preparing authentic Thai dishes, it is also a great travel book.Each course (Soups and Appetizers, Curries and Main Courses, Salads and Vegetables, Desserts), is preceded by several pages that give an overview and history of a particular region of Thailand. Of course, aside from the history lesson, much of the overview discusses food, including ingredients that may be unusual to the Westerner's eye. There is also a brief introductory chapter about "Eating a Thai Meal."The food styling and photography is excellent (though the non-food shots are average.)So even if you don't plan on making Thai food an important part of your trip, (but you should!), it is still a great tour guide for a very important aspect of Thai culture.

I first saw this book about twenty years ago and it took my breath away because of the photography and beautiful layout of food. I accidentally came across it again and bought it for myself and it still takes my breath away. It is still beautiful and good recipes. The book was in very very good shape. Looked almost brand new.

I scoured reviews looking for the best Thai cookbook I could find and from what I read, I decided on this one. Very happy I did, it did not disappoint. My husband love Thai food and he had mentioned wanting to get a Thai cookbook so I wanted to get him one as one of his Christmas gifts. He loved it and has really enjoyed looking at it. It really is a very beautiful cookbook and I am sure we will be using it and enjoying it for years to come.

I think the only serious competition for this book is Thai Food, and I would cautiously award the blue ribbon to this book, if only because it contains lots and lots of recipes that I have actually seen and tasted, while Thai Food seems to have a lot of recipes like "Beef and Mangosteen Soup," which I have never heard of, much less tasted. I suspect that a lot of this may be Royal Thai Cuisine, which is undoubtedly delicious but rather requires a kitchen full of servants.(!)This book, on the other hand, shows you how to cook such everyday items as "Pork Fried Rice" (and their version looks GREAT) plus dozens of other items. In fact, if you know of a Thai dish and cannot find it in this book, that will be a big exception.Full marks for the lovely photographs as well! Just leafing through this wonderful book will make you hungry.

My mother is Thai and I grew up learning how to cook from her. This book does a wonderful job of showing photos of the dish being prepared. Also, the ingredients and instructions are outlined clearly. For those who are interested in the culture and lifestyle of the Thai people the book does a good job providing information without being an encyclopedia.I originally purchased this book many years ago from a local bookstore. It has lasted quite well, but I wanted a hard copy to gift to my daughter. She enjoys cooking with me and I wanted to pass something along that I enjoyed so much. It would be a great gift to anyone who enjoys to cook Thai food.Don't hesitate purchasing it. The recipes are authentic. It is larger than most cookbooks, but is worth the storage space.

This is an outstanding cookbook and a must for any avid Thai cook. My wife is Thai and when she saw this book, she was shocked to see some recipes that she have not seen (and had) since she was in Thailand many moons ago. I was very impressed and very delighted with this book and I strongly recommend it. The recipes, if carried out to the letter, are authentic and worth trying.That said. The book is too large and bulky to carry with you to the kitchen while you are preparing dishes. Additionally, the pages are glossy and for sure you don't want set it on the kitchen counter. In order to preserve the book condition, it is best that you write down the recipe on paper. I am not deducting any points because of this incovenience though I wish to take off a quarter point for that.Overall, I am very pleased.

Contracts 101 has all the basics needed to understand Services Agreements and it includes examples from a Buyer and Seller perspective and excercises. I recommend it for non lawyers in the commercial management /contracts area.

I am an attorney and I bought this book last year because I changed jobs and starting working as in-house counsel. I found the book to be very helpful. It covers just about everything you need to be aware of when reviewing agreements. It also comes with checklists that keep me on track when going over any type of service agreement. I use the lists all the time.

I am very very impressed with this book. It contains far more information and recipes than I expected. It's organized by month and contains relevant recipes and food-culture facts about each month. It's the kind of book I can imagine we'll be taking out all year round to make recipes and look up information.For example, September has a few sandwich recipes, and an introduction to quinoa with a back to school theme and craft projects such as making your own reusable lunch bag. (That's not all there is for September, but just a sampling.)The book has recipes, food facts, crafts, and true to national geographic, also pays attention to the environment and culture. I'm very glad I happened upon this book and look forward to getting into it with the kids. We are going to try and do everything in the September section this month and bust it out every month for family time. I just hope we can hold off until October before moving on to October's projects!

This is one of the best cookbooks I've come across for cooking with kids.My six-year-old granddaughter and I can pull it up on our individual Kindles and look for something seasonal and enticing.The book is arranged seasonally by month, with lots of eye-catching photos and creative ideas based on food and eating.The book is for older children, I would say 9-12 roughly, so my younger granddaughter needs plenty of help, but it is a joy for us to cook together.I use the book for myself as well, many of the recipes are suitable for adults to cook and enjoy too.

Purchased for my niece and nephew--it's a total hit! They love reading about the different countries and cultures while making the recipes; they'll share everything they've learned as we're eating dinner.

Colorful, playful, fun book for kids and kids-at-heart. Entertaining with some nice recipes. For an adult that's tired or bored, flipping through this book will cheer you up and get you excited about "cooking yet another meal"!

A neat book with lots of food facts and pictures. I agree that it doesn't have as many recipes as I thought it would, though. The kids and I have made a few of the recipes, and they turned out pretty well. Anything to get kids interested and excited about making their own food is great in my book!

I purchased one of these for each of my grandchildren. My ten-year-old granddaughter has made dinner using this cookbook and even provided me with a shopping list for a recipe she wanted to make when she was coming to visit. Both kids loved this book. I highly recommend it for grandparents to give their grandchildren.

We love all our National Geographic books but this book should not be titled as a cook book. It has great information and stories but very few recipes. The title is misleading.

Great book.I Purchased for my niece (7) who wants to cook. It was hard to find one for her age that was not just kids finger foods. Love that it is informational in addition to the recipes. It was not just fruit salad and ants on a log. She was already reading it on Christmas picking what recipe to mage first.

Really. $3.00 would be overpriced. There is nothing specific here, just a bunch of air headed templates that will be quite ineffectual in helping me in my practice. Copy, cut and paste, and every protocol is the same. There is no real time or effort in creatively crafting protocols with specifics. $70 is a joke and a rip off. BTW, though it appears Francine Shapiro is personally behind the creation of ea. protocol in the book, not really the case; that's a bit of a stretch. I would say if there are any sharp EMDR clinicians out there, what is needed is a book that does what this one purports to do.

I'm new to EMDR, and recently completed the training in Hawaii. I felt the need for a reference book, and this is perfect. Some of the handouts are different from those given at my training (Trained under Roy Kiessling method), but scripts are very useful.

I have been an EMDR therapist for over 10 years and this book is a great addition to my collection. There are plenty of new things but the surprise was the "old stuff" - presented in a new fresh way. Very helpful. The layout is user friendly with larger print (thank you). Well done.

Very easy to put special circumstance cases into practical application using this book.

I confess that my career interests and spiritual pursuits inspired me to purchase How To Start A Blog That People Will Read by Mike Omar on Saturday November 1, 2014. I was also inspired to engage in blogging after discovering Blog Inc. by Joy Deangdeelert Cho back in 2013. Imagine my positive surprise when a local area newspaper covered a person with her own blog during just this past week (I see this as a positive spiritual sign from the universe about my plans for my google blogspot and tumblr profiles). Last, but not least, for me having a blog will allow me to store websites and interesting articles that I observe from places such as Yahoo News, Forbes, Money, CNBC, Town and Country, Womens Health, Inc. etc. Some of the following informative ideas in Omar's book: some of his recommended websites and pointers on writing and setting up blog posts (pages forty one to forty six, pages 47-56: finding ideas for posts and writing non search engine optimized blog posts, and pages 78-83 (promoting your blog). In the spirit of this book and discussion of blogging, I admit that I plan on reviewing more items that I have already purchased and website links (within the next 2-3 days) not as a way to show off, but more as a way to share and get feedback on topics of interest that come to me via creative and/or professional inspiration.

I am pretty sure that Mr. Omar has written a very good book on how to make money blogging, but I hesitated to go further to investigate for a few reasons.First, some of the links and videos that was referred to in his book and website do not work anymore, so I did not want to implement his model due to incomplete information.Second, his book and website ask readers to send him an email to tell him about themselves, and he said that he would respond. I sent two emails to introduce myself, but never received a response. However, I did see where after I sent my email, he looked me up on LinkedIn and reviewed my information.Because of the incomplete information and no response, I did not feel comfortable following his model. So, I associated with individuals who offered different models, who provided complete information and immediate responses and coaching, and they have helped me to reach my goals.

Buy a domain name. Sell ads or use google Adsense, pick a topic, blog about it. The end. This is not a book, it's a collection of the writer's prior articles (he says so up front). So, many paragraphs are repeated (some more than a few times!). There is no consistency or flow. And he seems hellbent on convincing you to become a web developer--because that is how he made his money. Oh, and maybe blog a bit, whatever, but the real money is in web development. Did i mention to sell your web development skills for $500 a pop? Oh, and dont forget, you can make money doing web development. And on and on he goes. Don't make the same mistake I did, thinking its only a few bucks. Save your money, and your time reading this dribble.Oh! And he repeatedly tries to get you to click on links that no doubt make him $ for each click!

I've had a blog going for about a year and was at the point where I was outgrowing the site and badly needed information to give the blog some moment. I figured since I never really read up on how to start a blog before I launched it that I should go back and do some research. I thought perhaps I missed some important elements. I thought perhaps I missed some details that left holes in my approach and I've been feverishly reading everything I can about blogging to fill in the holes. Unfortunately, it seemed I didn't miss much according to this book. I was extremely disappointed that I didn't learn any new or cool things. I was kind of mad that this book didn't give me any crucial details and cool tips that I might have missed along the way. Basically it was a game plan for just starting a blog. There were no thrills and no fills in this book ;-( In fact, when I got very little information from this book, I ordered and turned to another blogging book and was amazed at the difference in content, copy and inspiration. I think the lack of pictures and examples in this book made it very flat and boring.

I bought this book with high hopes thinking it was just a few bucks. It was a good read and contained some valuable information about SEO that I did not know before. However, the author does talk in the beginning about ways to make money online. I bought the book because I wanted information on how to start a blog, not make websites for other people! It's a short read so I didn't get as much information about how to start a blog then there should have been.

This book is about making money from your blog. To build the blog the author uses the Wordpress platform, which provides templates and tools for people to create a web site without having to write any code. The author provides introductory guidelines for making money in the book and a large number of links to his web site for more detailed information. This is a pretty common method of collecting the reader's email so the authors can build a large mailing list, where the reader in exchange for getting information agrees to receive additional marketing email from the author. I have provided my email in exchange for additional information in the past, and some of these sign ups resulted in daily emails for ever. Many authors provide the bonus material early in the book, but it is always best to make the decision later once you determine you truly like the style of the author so you will be sure you will like the additional content you will be getting on continuous basis.The book contains an introduction to a number key topics. I say introduction because the topics are not covered in great detail. For example, explaining how to set up a web site could have been more clear if it had more than one screen shot. The author touches on building Wordpress website, SEO, monetizing, affiliates, mailing list, advertising. The information in the book is not unique but it is a good summary of common approaches to to monetizing your blog. I would have preferred all additional information to be included in the book without having to sign up on the web site.Ali Julia review
