Unfortunately I felt Knowing the Basics was way too basic. There is little or no information except pretty much what is on the pack and what you can find for free on the net. I do not usually like to be negative but I was disappointed in the lack.
Had answers to tons of questions I had. Getting started was so much easier knowing how and what tools to use.
Like others have said, there's really no information in this book that you can't find online for free. Additionally the information that's in the book seems very rushed. There are several grammatical issues in this very short book, It's as if the author sat down one evening and decided to give herself a few hours to write this book beginning to end. Therfore many points are just not clear. I understand it's a book for beginners, which is why the information was so basic, but at least the basic terms and directions should be well-written and thorough enough to not leave readers, especially beginners unclear about the information. All in all, if you have the Kindle Unlimited service, and you're an absolute beginner to polymer clay, then borrow this book for free as you have nothing to lose but a few minutes (it's a very quick read). But if you're actually going to pay for it, I'd suggest that you save your money (use it to buy a few packs of polymer clay) and do a little bit of searching on Google and YouTube, or invest in a different book with better foundations.
not as useful as some books for me personally - maybe its because I found it very basic, and I have happily passed that point.It was easy to read but just not as project oriented as I was hoping for.
This small ebook is straightforward and to the point. A few projects are included. A nice place to start for people new to clay. Does not overwhelm with too much information.
Really? Putting aside the fact that there are only 4 projects (that are covered ad nauseum on place like youtube), the information in this book is completely free on the web. In many places. Saved your money.
I felt like I was getting directions from someone who was rushing to be somewhere else. Some cute little projects, but if you are like me, and have done a little research online, there is nothing new here
Boy. Not much to this book. Further, some of the description and photos are misleading. More information was needed. Disappointing.
